In de USA verscheen in 1968 een Cuby + Blizzards album dat de titel "King of the world" meekreeg (Philips PHS 600-331) en een selectie bevatte van "Groeten uit Grollo" en "Trippin thru' a midnight blues"
Dit album, dat nooit in Nederland werd uitgebracht bevatte een 4-tal tracks waarvan de banden in de New Yorkse Mercury-studios opnieuw werden gemixed en waarop blazers werden ingedubbed.

Op de hoes van dit album, waarschijnlijk bedoeld in combinatie met een toernee door de USA (wel gepland, maar nooit doorgegaan, o.a. door het drugsprobleem van Herman Brood) staat volgende vermeld:

For the past several years, Cuby and the Blizzards have been created delightful havoc in Holland through their straight-on approach to the blues.They are responsible for a continuing series of hit albums (and, would you believe it, singles too!) in Holland.

Recently, word of this incredible group of performers has been seeping through the Dutch dikes. In addition to their exciting appearance in Holland and Germany, England is fast coming under the spell of blues by Cuby. We expect that the U.S. will shortly be invaded by these Dutch Blues wizards.

Why, oh why is Cuby and his crew reaching so many people with the blues? Certainly, because this group has come to know and understand real blues music, realy get into it, and most importantly, communicate the blues to others. Cuby sings in Enlish, but the way he sings, one hardly cares what language it is, fot his sense of timing and feeling call a responce from listeners everywhere.

Al this (perhaps maybe more, certainly no less) lies in the grooves of this recording. If the thought of a Dutch blues group cuts no ice with you - give yourself a chance - listen. Have your ice cut. your ears turned-on, and your soul satisfied.

Op deze lp, die volgens qua weergave alle andere slaat, (Jan Markus: wat een geweldige sound !! Hier kan geen CD tegenop) is dit een zeer zeldzaam exemplaar in Nederland.

Merkwaardig is, dat op de hoesfoto de band bestaat uit Harry Muskee, Eelco Gelling, Herman Deinum, Helmig van de Vegt en Hans Lafaille, terwijl de tekst aangeeft dat de band bestaat uit Harry Muskee, Eelco Gelling, Herman Brood, Dick Beekman en Jaap Van Eik
